Step Three: Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood God.

What was “my will?” What was “my life?” What was “the care of God?” And what did it mean to “turn over?” When I asked these questions in meetings, I learned that “our will” meant our thoughts and “our lives” meant our actions. I also heard that “G.O.D.” could mean “Good Orderly Direction.” I learned that “to turn over” meant something like “to hand over” and “to let go.”
