I had been sober in AA all along and was limping along in my eating disorder recovery, because I was (mostly) already living in surrender to a higher purpose: service to the greater good. When I realized this concept of a “higher purpose” was actually working for me and could serve as a solid foundation for my recovery, I felt indescribable relief and hope. My truth set me free.
EATING DISORDERS ANONYMOUS (EDA)
EDA is a Twelve-Step fellowship of individuals who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problems and help others to recover from their eating disorders. People can and do fully recover from having an eating disorder. The only requirement for membership is a desire to recover from an eating disorder.
