When I work too much, sleep too little, or eat in a way that sends up red flags, I’ve learned to be gentle with myself and make sure I address the underlying emotional issues by working my 10th Step. One thing I don’t do is focus on food or weight: these are just distractions, and heaven knows I have spent enough time in my life obsessively focused on those!
EATING DISORDERS ANONYMOUS (EDA)
EDA is a Twelve-Step fellowship of individuals who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problems and help others to recover from their eating disorders. People can and do fully recover from having an eating disorder. The only requirement for membership is a desire to recover from an eating disorder.
